On Saturday May 30, 2009, Father Dan Fister celebrated Mass at the Vigil of Pentecost.  We had known Fr. Fister as "Deacon Dan" because  he had spent the past year with us as a Transitional Deacon in preparation for his Ordination to the Priesthood. 

On May 16th, Dan was ordained in his home Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky.  He and his parents drove back to Philadelphia so that the SMT Parish Family could share in their joy.  The Priests of St. Martin of Tours concelebrated Mass with Father Fister.

Afterward, we all enjoyed refreshments and conversation on the lawn in front of the Rectory.  What a great day it was!
